Common questions

I don't hear the chime. While Stovetrack is open it chimes at every step, even on silent, unless "Beep on silent" is off in Settings (the gear on the recipe list). With the phone locked, sound follows your ringer switch, so keep the ringer on or keep Stovetrack open.

I'm not getting notifications. Allow notifications for Stovetrack in the iPhone Settings app, under Notifications. The cooking screen shows a note when they're off.

A step took longer than the app expected. Tap +1 min, or simply tap Done when it's ready: everything after it moves to match.

I did a step early, or skipped it. Tap the step and choose Done. Undo is shown for a few seconds after every tap.

Do I need all the ingredients? No. Items under "Optional" in "Before you start" only add flavour; the recipe works without them.
